Hi, I'm Nguyn Th Yến Nhi

Turning user needs into meaningful digital experiences.

I turn user needs into products that are useful and easy to use — from understanding the problem to shipping with the team.

About Me

I look at products from both the user's perspective and the builder's.

I'm drawn to how a product comes to life — from understanding user needs and analyzing problems to building experiences that are genuinely useful.

As Team Lead on academic projects, I work across the full cycle: user research, Figma wireframes, functional specs, sprint coordination, and real-device testing. On the build side, I've used Flutter, Firebase, ASP.NET MVC, and REST APIs to ship ideas into real products.

I'm currently earning Google certificates in Project Management, AI, and UX Design, and leading a healthcare mobile app. To me, a good product doesn't just work — it solves the right problem with a great experience.

Featured Projects

Projects that reflect how I think and build products

Each project starts from a real problem, a specific user need, and how technology can make the experience better — not just about writing code.

Smart Medical Booking App

Mobile AppFeb 2026 – Present

The Problem

Many booking systems handle scheduling conflicts poorly, causing double-bookings. Users struggle to find the right hospital among many options, and elderly users face complex interfaces with little accessibility support.

What I Did

  • Researched user needs and designed wireframes in Figma to optimize the booking experience
  • Built a flow for users to search and compare hospitals by specialty, making selection clearer and more intuitive
  • Proposed and developed a voice-assisted feature to improve accessibility for elderly users
  • Designed a scheduling conflict check using Firebase Transactions to reduce double-bookings
  • Coordinated team tasks, sprint planning, and real-device testing

Results

  • Reduced double-booking incidents during appointment scheduling
  • Clearer, more intuitive hospital and specialty selection for users
  • More accessible experience for elderly users
  • 100+ manual test scenarios built to validate app stability

E-Commerce Shoe Shop System

Web SystemDec 2025

The Problem

Manual inventory management caused stock discrepancies that disrupted orders and the shopping experience — with no quick way to answer common customer questions.

What I Did

  • Analyzed inventory workflows and built automated update logic using SQL Triggers and Stored Procedures
  • Integrated an AI chatbot to handle common customer questions
  • Improved UX with AJAX to reduce full-page reloads

Results

  • Reduced inventory discrepancy errors during order processing
  • Faster response to common customer inquiries
  • Smoother shopping experience with fewer unnecessary page loads

English Vocabulary Learning App

Desktop AppJun 2025

The Problem

Manual vocabulary study is hard to manage, loses data easily, and goes stale. I wanted a simple tool with reliable storage and lookup.

What I Did

  • Designed a desktop UI with Tkinter, focused on a simple and clean user flow
  • Built CRUD functionality for vocabulary management with stable data storage
  • Integrated REST APIs to fetch live definitions and examples

Results

  • Manages 500+ vocabulary entries with stable storage and lookup
  • Learning content updated dynamically instead of static data
  • Received a score of 9.5 / 10 from the instructor
